I was happy for E because I knew that he'd secretly love his team color(it's his fave). L and C's color is plain white, but they didn't care. L was put in as goalie- he's never played soccer (except for maybe a year or 2 when he was a little guy), and has certainly never played goalie, and he did well! He improved a lot by the 2nd half, and their team ended in an 8-8 tie.
E played defense and his team got pretty creamed: 10-2 or something. His coach sent a wonderfully encouraging email last night, telling them that he was pleased with their efforts.
What I'm happy about? Even though the black flies are a nightmare here, there are no black flies at the field. Score!
